"Erich Kästner (* 1899 - + 1974)
Erich Kästner was born in Dresden in 1899. He was journalist and writer. He wrote poetrys, tales, novels, dramas and Tv-scenarios. But all over the world he's very known as write, who wrote many books for children. He wrote for children gladly and he understood them and treated with them as equivalent partners. His main books for children were published in 30 years. It was: Emil and Detektives, Emil and Three Twins, Flying Class and so on. Erich Kästner got for his children literature International Andersen prize.
Emil and Detectives and Emil and Three Twins were the first detective literature for children and were filmed.

Emil and Detectives
It's story about small boy, Emil, who goes to Berlin to his grandmother. It's his big journey, because he travels alone for the first time. Before than he left his town, his mother gave him some money for his grandmother and told him, that he mustn't lose them, therefor he cliped all the banknotes by pin. In train in compartment he met man, who offered him some chocolate. He told him, that he goes to Berlin to his grandmother. During the journey Emil fell asleep. The man woke him up in Berlin and left the train. Emil left the train too, and at the train station he found out, that he hasn't his money. He thought that the man in train had to steal him all money. Emil pursued him to the hotel. Behind the hotel he met boy, who worked in the hotel as carrier. Emil told him what's happened and he called his friends. Emil and other boys pursued the man for few days. When the man went to the shop and wanted pay with Emil's money, the boys stoped him and called policeman. When the policeman arrived, Emil told him that this man stole his money in train during his journey to Berlin. Policeman asked Emil, if he has some proof. Emil was long meditated, but finally he marked, that all the banknotes were cliped by pin. So, in all must be small hole. And really, in every banknote was a hole."
