Děj

Algernon Moncrieff: He was in love to Cecily and he is Lady Bracknell’s nephew. He made up figure of Mr. Bunbury in order to go away from town. He passed himself off Earnest in the country.

Dr. Chasuble: priest in the country

Lady Bracknell: Gwendolen’s mother. She is finding for her daughter the best suitor. She doesn’t pleasure with marriage of Gwendolen and Jack.
Cecily: Jack’s foster-daughter
Gwendolen Fairfax: daughter of Lady Bracknell. She loves Jack, but she things that his name is Earnest.

Action

Algernon expected visit his aunt Lady Bracknell, instead arrived his friend Jack. Algernon has lived in Half-moon Street of West London.

This both men have common lots of thing. At first they made up fictive persons. Jack used his fictive brother Earnest in order to he could go from country to London and Algernon used serious ill Mr. Bunbury, which he invited in Bunbury’s country homestead.

Presently Lady Bracknell with Gwendolen has arrived. When Jack stayed with Gwendolen face to face. He asked her to become his wife. Lady Bracknell didn’t pleasure. She started ask Jack about his financial situation. She found out that one gentleman had found Jack as small child in bag at Victorian Station, and called him “Worthing” according to his first class ticket to Worthing.

Immediately Algernon came to know that Cecily (Jack’s foster-daghter) was living in country, he decided to invite her in time, when Jack was out. Algernon pretended to perverted brother Earnest. He felt in love with Cecily at first sight and she too.
