"Canada has one of the world’s biggest islands – Baffin Island, which is twice the size of the UK. The biggest rivers there are Mackenzie, Yukon and St. Lawrence river and in Canada is lot of lake. There are lakes called big lakes, but not all of them only 4 from 5. Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Lake Erie, and Lake Ontario and the one, which lies only in USA is Lake Michigan. In the north of the country are next lakes Great Bear Lake, Great Slave Lake. The highest point is Mt. Logan, which lies in Saint Elias Mountains. There are many glaciers, waterfalls, extensive steppes, dense forests, prairies, also many national parks, a nature reserve for example national park Banff in Alberta. We can see here lots of moose, grizzly bears, reindeer (caribou), beavers and wolves.. Here are the largest waterfalls in the world - the Nijagara Falls, where water flows from the Lake of Erika and flows into Lake Ontario.

The first European settlement was founded in Canada by the Vikings, but the first long-term European settlement was founded by the French. After French the British settled here. That is the reason why there are two official languages - French and English. Independence from the UK Canada gained in 1867."
