Úryvek

"The first meal of the day is breakfast. People eat f. e. eggs, yoghurt, müsli with milk, bread or roll with salami, cheese, jam and honey. People drink coffee, tea or cocoa for breakfast. A lot of people don´t have breakfast. It is unhealthy because breakfast is the most important food of the day. I prefer big and healthy breakfast. It is good for my body and for my live. I have a lot of energy all day thanks good breakfast. I eat müsli with milk or white yoghurt and oatmeal with fruit and drink cocoa or green tee usually.
Between 12 o´clock and 15 o´clock people have lunch. It is the main and the biggest meal of the day in the Czech Republic. Lunch usually have two courses – soup and main meal. Favourite soups in the Czech Republic are f. e. potato, vegetable, garlic, lentil, mushroom, chicken soup with noodles or beef soup with liver balls. Soups don´t belong to my favourite food and I eat a few soups. People in the Czech Republic eat as main course various kind of meat – f. e. beef, pork or chicken. It is served with potatoes, rice, dumplings, pasta, chips or with some sauce. Czech people cook for lunch f. e. roasted chicken with rice, spaghetti , goulash, pizza, steak with chips, pork with tomato soup and dumplings, spinach with dumplings, egg or sausages and so on. Many people sometimes cook sweet food f. e. pancakes and sweet dumpling with strawberries, cottage cheese or plum butter. Ones of the most favourite meal is breaded and fried pork with potatoes or potato puree. But the meat doesn´t have to be pork. Chicken is quite common, and it can also be veal. It is called schnitzel. In the Czech Republic is very popular foreign meal especially Italian, Chinese, Greek, Indian and Turkish. Many people go for lunch to restaurants, pubs or to fast food f. e. to KFC or McDonald. Fast food is very popular for young people but it is very unhealthy. Students usually eat in school dining room or in university canteen. After lunch you can eat dessert if you have appetite. Very famous desserts are f. e. pudding, cakes or ice – cream.
National Czech meals are roasted sirloin in sour cream with dumplings and sauerkraut cabbage with roasted pork and dumplings. National drink is beer. Czech people and tourist say: In the Czech Republic is the best beer in the world. The Czech Republic is number one in beer consumption, averaging a half litre a day for every man, woman and children. It is unbelievable.
Between 17 o´clock and 19 o´clock people have lunch. They usually eat at home. People have often something lighter and smaller f. e. toast, sandwiches, fruit or vegetable salad, bread or roll with something and so on. Somebody eat hot meal f. e. pizza, some meat with potatoes or meal, which was for lunch.
Before lunch and dinner and dinner have a lot of people snack. They eat something smaller f. e. fruit, vegetable, roll or bread with something.
My family prefer Czech cuisine because it is better and more delicious than foreign cuisine. Sometimes we cook Italian food especially pizza and spaghetti because it is my and my sister favourite food."
