The Czech Republic has continental climate, it has four seasons.
The landscape is quite hilly around the borders. The Šumava Mountains in the south is very famous, and a lot of tourists visit this place every year. Other well-known mountains are for example the Czech Forest, the Jizerské Mountains, the Krkonoše Mountains (with the highest Czech mountain Sněžka), the Eagle Mountains. There are popular ski centres (Špindlerův Mlýn, Harrachov etc.).
There are a lot of river in the Czech Republic - for example the Moldau River, the Elbe River, the Morava River. The longest river is the Moldau River. There are many ponds (rybníky) in South Bohemia, for example Svět, Rožmberk.
Regions (kraje), districts (okresy):
The main administrative parts are Regions (for example the Liberec Region, the Královehradecký Region) and so on, usually named after the regional city. Other, smaller administrative parts are districts."
