"He was born in Stratford upon Avon on 26th of April in 1564 and died exactly 52 years later and he is buried in Stratford. His father was glowmaker and his factory was inside their home in Stratford. In Stratford Shakespeare studied at grammar school. When Shakespeare was 18 years old, he married with Anne Hathaway. Together they had 3 children, 2 girls and 1 boy, but the boy, Hamnet, died in young age (11 y.o.). He worked as a horses guard and after this work he started wrote plays and began to act as an actor. He was also part owner of a ‘playing company’ (company of actors) called the Lord Chamberlain’s Men (later called the King’s Men). The company built their own open-air theatre on the south bank of the River Thames – the Globe. Going to the theatre became very popular in the 1600s and Shakespeare became a very well-known playwright. Even Queen Elizabeth I was a big fan of his plays. The original Globe theatre was demolished, but a replica now stands near its original spot. It is a popular tourist attraction in London.

He wrote 38 plays and 154 sonnets. He wrote comedies, tragedies. Comedies are f.e. Midsummer Night’s Dream, Comedy of Error, The Taming of the Shrew…. Tragedies are Macbeth, Othello, King Lear, Hamlet and the most famous Romeo and Juliet. And wrote some historical plays like Pericles, King John, Richard II and others."
